seasons and transition

I am definitely going to miss this little guy!
And I will definitely be missing her too!

Time is short. In exactly 14 days, I will be getting on a plane to move to Shellharbour, Australia. I'll leave July 27 and fly from Memphis to Phoenix to Los Angeles to Sydney. Whew. It's almost worse when I know what a long flight to expect!!!
I'm spending this week finishing up my job as a nanny for my 3 precious kids- Kate, Ella, and Vaughn- and filling all of my free time with goodbye dinners and coffee dates. Saying goodbye and closing this season is a lot harder than I thought it would be. But God has been so gracious to me in helping me use my time wisely and be able to process all of this.
There are so many "lasts" lately- or at least for a while. This coming Sunday will be my last Sunday worshipping with my church family. It will be both sad and sweet. Sad because I will no longer be able to be physically present with them, but sweet with anticipation and excitement to be sent out for God's work in the nations by such an amazing supporting body. Next Wednesday (a week from tomorrow) will be my last full day here in Birmingham. It will be hard to say goodbye to a place that has truly become my home over these past four years. Then, I will drive to my other home in Covington, Tennessee to spend my last days with my family there. It will be 5 days of more tearful goodbyes, and packing to get ready for a long trip.
Transition is always hard, but there is also an exciting expectation for God to move in a new, fresh, unexpected way during times of shifting and change. He is beginning to fill my heart with eager expectation and I await what is next. Thank you for being with me and such a big part of my life and journey.
